Adriano Galliani: Tevez only wants to join Milan

AC Milan's Adriano Galliani adamant that Manchester City's Carlos Tevez only wants to move to San Siro

Although the Argentine's English employers are against a loan move to the Italian champions, his heart remains set on joining the Rossoneri, according to the 67-year-old

The Rossoneri have already held productive talks with the Argentine but their negotiations with City have proven less fruitful, with the Premier League outfit adamant that they will only allow the player to leave Eastlands as part of a permanent transfer.

Roberto Mancini's side are seemingly keen on discussing a deal with the Serie A champions, however, with Galliani confirming a meeting will take place on Thursday.

He told reporters: "On Thursday we have a meeting in London with the Citizens. It won't be decisive though, to close the deal.

"It will be almost impossible to bring Tevez with us in Dubai [for the club's winter training camp]."

Milan are looking to strengthen their forward line in January after Antonio Cassano underwent heart surgery but are presently only entertaining loan deals, meaning their bid to sign Tevez has stalled.

"First of all, we would not have done anything without the problem that hit Cassano," Galliani told Radio Anch'io Lo Sport. "Cassano was playing well for us.

"But Tevez? It depends on the will of City and the player. Manchester wants to sell outright, while we will not move from a free loan with the right to buy.

"The player wants to come here and not go to Paris Saint-Germain. He wants Milan and that's that.

"We hope [that he will come], because he's a player we really like and can give us a big lift."

Meanwhile, Galliani also reassured Milan fans that coach Massimiliano Allegri will soon sign a new deal with the club.

"Allegri will definitely be back next year," he declared. "We are defining the economic agreement."

The former Cagliari boss arrived at San Siro in June 2010 and led Milan to the Scudetto in his first season at the helm.
