The Ivorian striker has been named the top flight’s best player following an impressive run of form in the Russian Premier League, with Andrei Voronin finishing second

The Ivory Coast international bested Dynamo Moscow's Ukrainian international striker Andrei Voronin, who finished second in the poll with 505 points, as well as Russian striker Alexander Kerzhako, who came in third with 129.

Doumbia is top scorer in the Russian Premier League with 24 goals from 32 matches. His five goals in the group stage of this year's Uefa Champions League helped his side reach the last-16, where they will clash with Real Madrid for a quarter-final spot in February.

Another Ivorian, Marco Ne of FC Kuban Krasnodar was selected in the league’s best eleven, while his club-mate and compatriot Traore Lacina remains third on the scorer’s table with 15 strikes.
