Corinthians 0-0 Palmeiras |

A poor game culminated in frustrations spilling over at the end which sparked a mass brawl. Two players saw red but it did not spoil the occasion for the Timao faithful, who collected the title amid jubilant scenes.
Vasco 1-1 Flamengo |
Vasco's title challenge came to an end on the final day as they failed to beat Flamengo, who secured a Copa Libertadores place with the result.
Atletico Paranaense 1-0 Coritiba |

A win for Coritiba would have not only secured Copa Libtertadores qualification but relegated their arch rivals - Atletico Paranaense. It was the hosts who came closest first, though. Deivid's low cross in from the right found Federico Nieto who darted in front of his marker and connected with the ball, rolling his shot just past the far post. You could sense that Furacao were playing for their survival - they showed much more determination than their opponents to achieve their aim. Paulo Baier worked Vanderlei with a free kick just after the half-hour mark but the keeper beat it away comfortably.
Coritiba should have taken the lead in the 54th minute. Jonas charged down the right flank and put a dangerous ball in to the box. Rafinha connected at the back post but failed to divert the ball goalwards. They paid the price when the impressive Joffre Guerron headed in from a Baier free kick with the keeper rooted to the spot. Renan Rocha made a great save in injury time to keep Furacao ahead but it was not enough for the hosts.
Atletico Paranaense were relegated despite the win due to results elsewhere. Coritiba also missed out on the chance for Copa Libertadores football for the first time since 2004.

Internacional 1-0 Gremio |
Coritiba's loss opened up the door to a host of teams seeking Libertadores qualification. In the end it was the Colorado who secured the fifth and final spot with victory over their Porto Alegre rivals at the Beira-Rio.
Inter almost took an early lead when Andres D'Alessandro's dead ball delivery was flicked on towards his own goal by Andre Lima. Victor reacted quickly to tip the ball behind for a corner, sparing the striker's blushes.
After Marquinhos tested Muriel twice in quick succession, Leandro Damiao had a couple of chances before the break. The striker could not find the killer touch to score the opening goal. In the 54th minute, Douglas almost scored directly from a corner. His effort just lacked the extra bit of curve as it hit the inside of the post and went out.
Chances littered the half but the clearest came when Fabio Rochemback brought down Oscar in the area. A penalty was awarded with 30 minutes remaining and D'Alessandro stepped up, converting from 12 yards with a powerful effort despite Victor guessing right.
The win secured Copa Libertadores football for Inter for the third year running as they climbed the table to fifth. A mediocre season for Gremio saw them finish in the bottom half, occupying 12th spot.

Cruzeiro 6-1 Atletico Mineiro |

With their future in their hands, Cruzeiro knew a win against their rivals would avoid relegation for the first time in the club's history and maintain their unblemished top-flight record.
Raposa took an early step towards safety when Roger slotted home from Anselmo Ramon's ball in the 8th minute. Twenty minutes later Cruzeiro were two to the good. Roger's dead-ball delivery was powerfully headed home by Leandro Guerreiro.
After another five minutes the third went in. Wellington Paulista won possession of the last man and centred the ball for Anselmo Ramon. He turned well and placed the ball between the keeper's legs. Cruzeiro were tearing apart Galo as they fought for their lives. Fabricio added the fourth on the stroke of half time with a low, drilled shot from the edge of the area.
With 12 minutes of the second half gone, Raposa unbelievably added a fifth. Roger raced to the byeline and chipped the ball to the back post for Wellington Paulista. He sent the ball back where it came from and despite a last-ditch attempt to clear it, the goal was given.
Just after the hour mark, Rever deflected Renato Silva's cross into the back of the net but Cruzeiro's spirits were at a seasonal high. With both sides reduced to 10 men for the remaining 10 minutes, Everton bundled home a late sixth for the hosts to ensure their torrid season did not end in the darkest day in the club's history.
Cruzeiro stayed in 16th position, two points above the drop zone and two points below Atletico Mineiro who finished in 15th.

Player of the Round |
A display of real class from veteran midfielder, Roger contributed greatly to Cruzeiro's emphatic 6-1 victory over local rivals Atletico Mineiro. It has been an extremely turbulent year for the Belo Horizonte giants and they will be pleased to hold on to their Brasileiro status for another year. Roger supplied the assists for two goals as well as opening the scoring himself. His seniority inspired the side to safety and finally gave their fans something to cheer.
