AC Milan midfielder Antonio Nocerino has revealed that he wants to see Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez join the club in January.

Speaking to Sky Sport 24 on Wednesday, the 26-year-old expressed his desire to see the out-of-favour forward join the Serie A champions from Roberto Mancini's side.

"[Tevez] is a great player. I hope he can come to Milan," confessed Nocerino.

The midfielder only arrived at the club on the last day of the summer transfer window from Palermo, but has quickly developed into a key player for Massimiliano Allegri's team.

He is in the midst of his most productive campaign to date, with a record tally of six goals this season. However, Nocerino played down his achievements to date, claiming that he is only doing his bit to contribute to the AC Milan's cause.

"I scored six goals, and I consider myself to be quite a prolific scorer. I'm just a normal guy who plays with so many champions," said the midfielder.

Nocerino also had a word on his first club Juventus, the birthplace of his footballing career, expressing his gratitude for the way the Old Lady had nurtured his talent from a young age.

"I owe so much to Juventus because I had grown up there," he continued.

"Now I am part of Milan, however, I am happy here and I hope we can celebrate at the end of the season."
