The Austin Eguavoen coached side look to go out of the competition after losing their second game of the tournament, but will hope they can win the final match against Algeria
Nigeria lost 2-1 to Senegal in their second game at the Caf Under-23 Olympic qualifying tournament in Morocco on Tuesday.
First half goals from Serigne Kara Mbodj and Abdoulaye Sane gave the young Lions victory. The Nigerians’ consolation goal was scored by Daniel Uchechi in the second half.
Nigeria now need to win their last game against Algeria, who lost 1-0 to Morocco in the other game of Tuesday, on December 2 to stand any chance of making it through to the semi-finals and hope that the hosts also defeat Senegal.
The Dream Team V lacked proper positioning for most of the game as they conceded the midfield to the Senegalese during what was a poor performance.
