New QPR Boss Mark Hughes Ready To Strengthen Loftus Road Squad

QPR Boss Mark Hughes Plans £16m Raid for Barcelona, Chelsea & Blackburn Rovers Trio

QPR move for Chelsea’s Alex after failing with Christopher Samba bid

Mark Hughes has delved into the transfer market just hours after taking over at Qpr, making a bid for Chelsea defender Alex and weighing up a moves for Blackburn’s Christopher Samba and Barcelona winger Alexander Hleb.

Hughes has reportedly been promised a transfer kitty of up to £30 million for the January transfer window, in order to help QPR avoid relegation.

Chelsea’s transfer-listed defender Alex is top of Hughes’ wanted list, and although it appeared the 29-year-old would return to his native Brazil, Rangers have made the first move and lodged a bid this morning.

On top of Alex, Hughes is chasing Blackburn skipper Samba, who he brought to English football from Hertha Berlin, but has already had a £5 million bid rejected.

QPR are also considering a move for former Arsenal and Birmingham winger Alexander Hleb, who is currently training with German minnows FC Augsburg, and has been made available for transfer by Barcelona.

Manchester City Controversial Forward Feels Lonely In England

Manchester City's Mario Balotelli lonely in England and would only leave the Premier League to return home to Italy

Balotelli feels lonely in England

Mario Balotelli feels that he has adapted well to the Premier League but admitted that if he were to leave Manchester City he would return to Italy because he has no real friends in England.

The former Inter striker arrived at Eastlands in the summer of 2010 and, after a difficult start to his career in the Premier League, he has begun to justify his reputation as one of the most exciting young attacking players in world football.

However, Balotelli has confessed that while he is happy with his progress on the field, he still feels a little lonely off it.

"I am 21 and already I have lived away from home for nearly two years,” he told L'Uomo Vogue. “I have adapted quite well – in spite of the huge [cultural] differences.

“But I have no real friends here. If I had to move, right at this minute, I would choose Italy."

Balotelli also admitted that the intrusive and sensationalist nature of the British tabloid press has been a major problem for him settling in Manchester.

"If I buy a Fiat Uno, I read that for a guy like me it would have been more suitable to buy a Ferrari," he lamented. “If I choose the Ferrari, they write that I should keep my feet on the ground and buy an Uno.

“If I laugh, I'm not serious enough; I don’t laugh, I’m a sulk who doesn’t enjoy doing the best job in the world.

"Here in England, the tabloid press writes about everything - and always exaggerates.”

Balotelli has also been upset by claims in the media that he is unhappy at City and insists that he is enjoying the ongoing battle for supremacy with bitter rivals Manchester United.

"The newspapers are saying that I want to get away from Manchester but I've never spoken to them," he told Radio Radio.

"They can say what they want, but I'm in Manchester, am under contract with City and until the right time, will not talk about a new contract.

"The Premier League has been a new experience, even if at first it was difficult, but if I have to tell the whole truth now, then I find myself really well.

"The team must stay focused and try not to lose our heads, as happens sometimes, and we must lose as few points as possible. At the end of the season we'll see if we are first or second."

The Dutchman had been dismissed as head coach but has now been appointed as the new technical director of Indonesian football to chalk out a masterplan for its development

Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) has officially announced Wim Rijsbergen's dismissal as national team coach and appointed him to be new technical director of Indonesian football.

PSSI president Djohar Arifin Hussein revealed the decision to depose Rijsbergen as coach was made at an executive commitee meeting on Tuesday.

"Rijsbergen will occupy a new position as supervisor and technical director from youth to the senior team, his task is about to make programs for all coaches at any team levels," Arifin told reporters.

Meanwhile, Arifin also stated that in the near future the PSSI will establish a board to manage the national team.

"We will establish a new board which administers the national team and it will be led by Rijsbergen. He still has two years remaining on his contract," said Arifin.

PSSI has also decided to appoint Aji Santoso, former Persebaya 1927 coach as the caretaker national team boss.

Tottenham to Make £10m Move for Versatile Attacker

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp, according to The Mirror, wants £10m-rated Fulham forward Moussa Dembele and could offer Niko Kranjcar in part exchange.

Dembele has been very impressive for Fulham this season and has been attracting speculation left right and centre and so it is no surprise to see Spurs being linked with the 24 year old, he is effective as an attacking midfielder, winger and as a striker, his versatility alone makes him a significant target.

Fulham will of course be loathe to sell, however their reluctance to see the 6ft 1in Belgium International leave may be tempered with the prospect of Tottenham throwing in Niko Kranjcar as part of the deal.

This particular piece of gossip does make some sense, it would suit all parties concerned, Fulham would get a decent replacement and £10 Million and Spurs would be able to offload an unhappy player, but whether it happens is anyone’s guess.
